NPOR’s – National Plant Operators Registration Scheme Assessment

NPORs is now being accepted more and more on site and is also now accepted by Build UK.  Established in 1992, the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme is now one of the UK’s leading Accreditation and Registration Bodies, working across the Construction, Industrial, Utilities, Warehousing and Distribution, Agricultural, Ports and Marine sectors. NPORS offers flexibility, whilst maintaining standards, both nationally and internationally by working with industry and Accredited Training Providers.

The cards can now be used in conjunction with the CSCS logo. To achieve this, the candidate must have passed their Health and Safety touchscreen test within the past 2 years. This will then allow the candidate to hold a red trained card. If the relevant NVQ is achieved, the candidate will then receive a blue competent card.

It is also possible to gain a recognised operator ticket by using the more traditional route, without linking with CSCS. This is heavily used within some large companies as an enhanced in-house card.

For experienced operators, NPORS assessments can be carried out on site. For novice operators, NPORS training can be provided on site if the site conditions are within training specifications.
